An Introduction about MeMe as a Photographer

Hi there, My name is Alexa and I live with my husband and also my best friend at the same time in the most beautiful city in Canada, which is of course Edmonton. I graduated as a photographer at the University of Edmonton and once I graduated I started taking modern and elegant photos of pregnancy, newborns, and babies in my studio with a unique design. Furthermore, I also do outdoors in nature or at home, no matter where you live. I understand how you may feel in front of the camera, so I try at first to help you feel good during the shoot.

While I was studying at the university I found out that personally for me a photoshoot is more than taking awesome pictures and then start editing them. Every mom with her child is different and you have to deal with individual experiences all the time. I want to give you this experience in such a way that it will last not only for years but for decades.

A newborn/baby and maternity session is one of the greatest and most beautiful wonders you can experience yourself. How time passes is especially noticeable in one's children. The sweet smile, the first steps, the daily change, and the learning of new things make up for some difficult moments. Seeing the expression on my clients' faces when they hold fine art photos in their hands is the most valuable moment during my work. However, taking some pictures of your awesome baby is only a part of my job. Once I am done with your session, I start editing them using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.


Then, comes the last part when printing your special photos on archivable fine art paper and embedding them in handmade are moments of joy I feel before I hand over the final product to you. Newborn photos are created already in the first 14 days and pregnancy photos should be scheduled 3-6 weeks before birth.
